BABY BROTHER arrived Sept 11 (Happy birthaday aunt Mary!). Morgan is only about a week old, and has already captivated all of us-let's be honest it was an easy sell.

Calvin LOVES "Morgan boy" and has had to really practice restraining his kisses, head pats and python squeezes to under a hundred a day! Calvin also loves pulling baby's mittens off-that's why it appears that Morgan is waving Captain Hook style!
We are really grateful that Morgan was born a week early-healthy and safe since he arrived with a knot in his umbilical cord-scary. The nurses and doctor all agreed he was a lucky boy.
We feel so relieved that he is safe and as a bonus, he came the weekend before Brandon's block week which was great timing. I think I can safely say that Morgan is one of the most ridiculously, RIDICULOUSLY adorable babies I've ever seen...no bias here. We are SO excited and happy to have Morgan join our family.

What? I haven't posted for a long time? Shoot, why didn't anyone tell me? My apologies to friends and family who have loyally checked in with nothing interesting or entertaining in return for their efforts. You all know how it goes right?-the holidays hit and you're too busy to post, then January sinks in and you have nothing jolly to post about. With that said, the following entry may be a liitle hum-drum apart from a small bit of news worthy information-we're expecting baby #2 in September! We're really excited to add another member to our family, and I am beyond relieved to be out of the wretched first trimester.

Anywho, we're getting accustomed to our new residence-meeting great people. Brandon is very busy in medical school, so we try to soak him up when he's home...and Calvin and I try to be creative with our time while dad's gone.
We play a game called "Who can mess up/clean up the house the quickest". Calvin is the reigning champ...closely followed by Brandon.

Calvin has recently exhibited his sensitive side with stuffed animals-until now, his interests have really only included bikes and balls...it's nice to see that the tough guy has a soft side.

We've also been learning new skills-like dental care.
Finally, Calvin has shown much creativity and financial responsibility making toys out of trash-this styrofoam block makes an awesome chair-which Cal devised all by himself! let's hope it stays a chair and
not toilet.
